This compact variant of the popular Alternanthera is known for its slow growth and dense, compact form. It’s ideal for small aquariums or as a foreground plant in larger aquascapes. With regular trimming, it can form a vibrant red-violet carpet, reaching a height of about 5 to 10 cm. Providing high light intensity and CO2 supplementation enhances its growth and overall visual appeal, but it can be kept in non-CO2 environments as well.
